September 25, 1959 — January 12, 2025

In loving memory of David Allen Cochran Sr.

David Allen Cochran Sr. transitioned peacefully from this life on January 12, 2025, at the age of 65, in the comfort of his home in Mullins, SC. David was born on September 23, 1959, at Marion Memorial Hospital.

His formative years were spent in St. James, South Carolina, where he worked alongside his family on their farm. It was during this time that he developed a deep passion for the art of brick masonry, a skill he honed during high school. David had an innate ability to assess a building and envision the intricate process of laying bricks, a talent he shared proudly with those around him.

For 25 years, David dedicated himself to his craft until illness intervened. His love story with Christy, his high school sweetheart, culminated in a joyous union on October 16, 1980. Their bond remained unbreakable throughout their enduring and fulfilling marriage.

He is reunited in eternity with his son, David Cochran Jr., his father Nelson Cochran, mother Edna Cochran, and siblings Nelson Cochran Jr, John Cochran, and Michael Cochran. Left behind to cherish his cherished memories are his beloved wife Christy Cochran, six devoted children: Angel (Teddy) Dozier, Christiana Cochran, Jeremiah Cochran, Shadzier Cochran, David Allen Cochran III, and Zendayja Cochran. Additionally, he leaves behind three adoring grandchildren: Gabrielle Washington, Zoe Washington, and Teddy Dozier Jr. He is also survived by his siblings Mary (John) Crawford and Edna (Eddie) Smith.

David Allen Cochran Sr. will always be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his skilled craftsmanship, and the love he shared with all those around him. His legacy lives on through the memories he created and the hearts he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
