Wendall D. Moody Sr. was born to the late Barto and Gusella Lewis Moody on September 9, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at MUSC in Marion, South Carolina. Wendall received his education and attended school in Baltimore , Maryland, he graduated in the Class of 1971. After his family moved back to Marion, he worked as a radio disc jockey for many years & assisted with many charitable and community organizations, such as the Alpha Kappa Alpha "A.K.A." mentoring program, under the leadership of Ms. Fannie M. Mason. He also served as a Disability and Special Needs counselor.
Wendall was married to Minnie Lucy Moody on October 22, 1996 and to this union one child was born. He joined St. Philip's United Methodist Church and was a very active member. Wendall was preceded in death by his parents and (3) three siblings: Peggy Joyce Moody, Donald Dewitt, and Larry Moody. Wendall leaves to cherish his loving memories~his devoted wife: Minnie Lucy Moody of the home;sons: Barto D. Moody of the home, Wendell D.. Moody Jr. of Arizona: four step-sons: Marshall Ellerbe Jr., Tony Hemingway, both of Charlotte, NC,Howard Hemingway of Trenton, NJ, Carlton Hemingway of Alabama and a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
