Zack Taylor

Zack Taylor was born on September 15, 1949 to the late Lindsey Taylor and Emma F. Lesane in Marion County, South Carolina. Zack was truly blessed. He departed this earthly life at the age of 69 on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

Zack received his formal education in Marion County School District. He graduated in the class of 1969 at Johnakin High School, Marion, South Carolina.

His family knew him as kind and humorous. Zack was known for his entertaining stories, sayings and jokes, which he repeated often.

Bro. Zack accepted Christ as his personal Savior and later joined St. John AME Church in Marion, South Carolina.

Taylor was employed at Raytex, Inc., Marion Lumber Company and the City of Marion. He was also a member of the True Light Zion #399 until his health began to fail.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Wilhelmina Buey Taylor; a grandson: Anthony J. Taylor; his father: Lindsey Taylor; his mother: Emma Fields Lesane and a brother: William Wearen.

Zack leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories ~ one daughter: Jacqueline Taylor (Carson) Mason; one son: Reginald Rollins both of Marion, SC; his step-children: James Buey, Eavern Buey, Debra Gerald, Lee Richardson, Tyrone Richardson, Diane Rollins, Sara Rollins, Flora Mae Rollins, Charles Rollins Jr.; four sisters: Juanita Thlove, Fredrena Toussaint, Dora Reaves, Emma (Wayne) Brock; two brothers: Charles Briggs and Wallace Taylor; three brothers-in-law: Connie Reaves, JosephToussaint, Fletcher Brock; special friend: James Washington Jr. "Peanut;" special cousin: David Foxworth and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
